Mokolé

The choir was founded in 2004 Mokolé. It is the oldest and the largest choir under the direction of Eva Buckman.

Mokolé means bearer of secrets: The secret lies in the joy of singing, the joy of life and energy that African songs release.

About 63 choir members rehearse on Tuesdays from 19:30 - 21:30 in the music and singing school in Heidelberg. They are excited by African music and its rhythms and ready to learn the lyrics in many different African languages by heart. The choir lets the audience feel an African atmosphere by adding an individual choreography to each song.
